📰 What is subscription cancellation?

Subscription cancellation is a feature that prevents the next scheduled renewal of an auto-renewing subscription.

If you cancel your subscription, you can continue using your subscription until the current subscription period ends, but you will not receive a refund.

⚠️ Note: Subscription cancellation is not the same as requesting a refund.

  • Subscription cancellation: You can use your subscription until the expiration date, and it will not renew afterward

  • Refund request: You ask for a refund for a currently active subscription.

❎ How can I cancel the subscription?

The cancellation process depends on the payment method you used.

Please check which payment method you used to purchase your subscription, then follow the instructions for that method.

🍎 I purchased my subscription via the Apple App Store (in-app purchase).

🗺️ You can cancel your subscription as follows:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap the Apple ID at the top.

  3. Select Subscriptions.

  4. Find and select Speak under Active Subscriptions.

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen.

You can cancel your subscription by visiting the Apple Support website for subscription management and cancellation.

  3. Select Payments & Subscriptions.

  4. Tap Subscriptions.

  5. Find and select Speak from the list of active subscriptions.

  6. Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Tap Manage Membership.

  5. Select Cancel Membership.

  6. Tap “Cancel Subscription” to confirm.

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If I cancel my subscription, will I automatically get a refund?

No. Canceling your subscription does not automatically issue a refund.

If you would like a refund, please refer to the refund help article and submit a request.

Speak doesn’t appear in my list.

If your Speak subscription does not appear in the list, please check the following:

  • Make sure you didn’t purchase through a different payment method.

    Subscriptions can be purchased via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or the Speak website/promotion site. The payment method you are checking may be different from the one you actually used.

  • Double-check the account you are using:

    • Are you logged in with the correct Apple ID?

    • Did you purchase using a different Google Play account?

    • Did you sign up or pay with another Speak account?

I don’t see the cancel subscription option in Google Play Store subscriptions.

In this case, please contact Google Play Customer Support directly:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to the Help Center menu.
