📰 Overview
Custom Courses lets you build a Speak course around exactly what you want to practice. Describe a goal, situation, or topic — Speak generates a personalized unit of lessons just for you.
🔍 How to get started
1. Go to Level: Open Speak and tap Level in the top left of the Home screen
2. Create a custom course: Tap Create a new course
3. Chat: Speak will ask some questions — describe what you want to practice
3. Review: Review the course plan. Speak builds for you
4. Create: Edit the plan if you'd like, then tap to create it
5. Your new course will appear on your Home screen, ready to start. You can edit it anytime via the ··· menu on the top right

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What can I make a course about?
Anything you want to practice. A goal or topic is all you need. Some examples:
Learning a new topic for a specific job or industry (e.g., discussing AI at a social event)
Shopping, travel, or everyday situations (e.g., navigating the night market)
A specific place or scenario (e.g., "buying sunscreen at Olive Young")
Topics your current courses don't cover
Can I edit my course after it's created?
Yes. Tap ··· on any unit to:
Edit unit — adjust the content or focus
Leave feedback — tell us what's working or not
Delete unit — remove it if you don't need it
You can also refine the plan during the creation flow — just describe what you'd like to change, and Speak will adjust it.
Where do my custom courses live?
Once approved, your course appears on your Home screen immediately and stored alongside your regular courses in the ‘Level’ tab. Tap into it to start a lesson.
What if the course doesn't look right?
During creation, Speak will ask if you'd like to make any changes. You can type your own edits or tap one of the suggested refinements.
If something feels off after you've created it, use Edit unit from the ··· menu.
If the quality feels wrong or something isn't working as expected, let us know in Discord or tap Leave feedback in the app — we're fixing issues daily.
How do I switch back to my main curriculum?
Simply go to Level → scroll down to find the course you were learning with before generating the custom course.
