📰 Overview

Speak currently offers English learning courses for speakers of the following native languages:

  • Supported Native Languages:

    Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Vietnamese, Hindi, Thai, Turkish, Indonesian

We’ve also launched new courses for English speakers to learn other languages:

  • Spanish

  • French

  • Japanese (Beta)

  • Korean (Beta)

  • Italian (Beta)

🔄 How to Switch Language Courses in the App

You can change your language course at any time:

  1. Open the Speak app and go to ProfileSettingsLanguage Course

  2. Choose your setup based on your native language and learning goal:

    1. To learn English:

      1. Under “I Speak”, select your native language

      2. Your course will be set to English automatically

    2. To learn another language as an English speaker:

      1. Under “I Speak”, select English

      2. Then, under “I Am Learning”, select the language you want to learn (e.g., Spanish, Korean, etc.)

Changes take effect right away—just head back to the Home screen to start learning!

    • Right now, English and Spanish are our most popular language courses—and we’re just getting started!

  • Are you adding more languages?

    • Yes! We’re working hard behind the scenes.

  • Can I learn another language if I’m not an English speaker?

    • Right now, non-English language courses are only available if your native language is English. But we hear you! We're planning to expand access to more learners soon.
