We’re sorry for the inconvenience. 🙏
If you’re unable to adjust the audio/video volume during Speak video lessons, it may be caused by Apple’s Sound Recognition feature being turned on.
When this feature is enabled, iOS continuously uses the microphone, which can restrict audio output and volume control in some apps—including Speak.
Please try turning off Sound Recognition using one of the options below.
🛠 How can I fix this?
1️⃣ Turn off Sound Recognition in Settings
Open the Settings app
Select Accessibility
Tap Sound Recognition
Toggle the switch OFF
2️⃣ Turn it off from Control Center
Go to Settings → Control Center
Make sure Sound Recognition is added to Control Center
Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner)
If the Sound Recognition icon is enabled, toggle it OFF
